Offline 2FA
Generate codes while keeping the authenticator offline.
Offline security hardware
A key-sized device with a 2.7-inch color display, physical controls and QR-based interaction.
Its key-sized body, 2.7-inch color display and physical controls support clear review of QR workflows without relying on a phone interface.
Passpal has no Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or USB data connection. Operational interaction uses QR codes; a defined QR-based firmware workflow supports controlled updates.
Sensitive records are stored encrypted. The design applies tamper resistance, side-channel protections, a hardware TRNG and hardware cryptography.
Certification scope: Passpal uses WAYMC’s historical PCI PTS security engineering technology and know-how. Passpal itself is not PCI PTS certified; PCI PTS product certification is not applicable or intended for this non-financial product.
Generate codes while keeping the authenticator offline.
Assist offline key handling and offline QR signing; compatibility depends on the selected workflow.
Review encrypted account records through the display and physical controls.
Offline authentication can be adapted with custom algorithms. An SDK supports customer development so organizations retain control of their authentication logic and deployment.
Passpal-Safe uses a specific algorithm to distribute data across two EAL5+-class IC cards, NFC interaction and a per-card PIN. A single card does not contain a complete usable secret; recovery requires both protected shares.
| Dimension | Passpal Token | Phone app | Typical connected hardware wallet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interaction | QR, air-gapped | Network-capable device | Often USB or Bluetooth |
| Backup | Optional two-card split | Varies by app | Often recovery words |
| Controls | Dedicated display and buttons | Touchscreen | Varies by device |
